The annex room we stayed in had a lovely outdoor patio, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The modern decor and throws for chilly nights added to the comfort of our stay.
Accessing the rooms requires navigating some stairs, which could be a hassle for anyone with mobility issues. The breakfast had its quirks. They tried to serve some fly-zapping equipment, but flies still buzzed around, which detracted from the overall dining experience. On top of that, the breakfast options could’ve been more consistent without some items being undercooked or burnt.

Cozy atmosphere with a charming garden.
My stay was thoroughly disappointing. The breakfast was an absolute disaster—cold toast and poorly cooked items, not to mention the unkempt appearance of the staff serving it. To top it off, the location was misleading.

the breakfast was a complete disaster, with cold toast and burnt offerings that I had to ask for more of (how delightful! ). the staff seemed more interested in the locals than in guests, which is shocking for a place with such stellar reviews. I woudl’ve thought I’d get a complimentary upgrade or at least fruit for breakfast. alas, such is life.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway
We arrived a little earlier than expected after a long ride, and was shown to our room in an annex to the pub. The room was well appointed with a nice touch of throws for those chilly nights and even an electronic fly zapper that I found amusing to watch.
It wasn’t exactly wallet-friendly but it was still manageable.

Just had an awesome stay at The Star Inn! Our room in the annex was super comfy, with a lovely outdoor seating area. Breakfast hit the spot with fresh Yorkshire goodies, and those Italian dinner options were heavenly! Wish the staff had been a bit more attentive though.

the star inn is an amazin place to stay. we had a lovely experience with clean, comfy rooms and a cute little garden space. breakfast was next level, its a must try! plus the pub serves super good italian food! the staff there are really friendly, helped us feel right at home.
the room could use a bit more space for bags and it was kinda noisy from other areas sometimes.
